FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What is the difference between the Ultra Shell series and the Cine Pro series?

All four are hybrid rollers that convert into backpacks with the removable shoulder straps, but each series is designed to suit a different way of travelling. The Ultra Shell series is a 4-wheel spinner roller with a built-in moulded honeycomb hard shell frame. The Cine Pro series is a 2-wheel roller, available in two sizes and converted from the Sakk Pack V2. The Carry-On version has a slimmer frame for air travel and carries mirrorless bodies, lenses or de-rigged cinema bodies up to 16cm (6.2") tall. The larger Cine Pro roller has an extreme interior depth of 26cm (10.2"), intentionally designed to hold multiple rigged cinema bodies, spare lenses, a gimbal, a laptop and more, making it a true one-bag workstation to and from set.

What can I fit inside, and is the interior customisable?

The Cine Pro is built around real cinema kits, with an interior depth of 26cm (10.2") that fits fully rigged camera bodies with a top handle attached. That includes rigs like the Sony FX6 and FX9, ARRI, RED, Blackmagic URSA and PYXIS, so you don’t need to strip down your build. The depth also lets 70 to 200mm lenses and gimbals stand completely upright. The interior is fully customisable, with dividers that can be removed completely or rearranged to best suit your load-out.

Do I need a separate gimbal case?

No. The 60L interior is big enough to hold a complete cinema build, wireless lighting, audio gear and a motorised gimbal in a single bag, so you don’t need an extra case. It’s designed to be an all-in-one workstation that carries all your gear to and from set.

Can I take the bag on the plane as carry-on?

No. The Cine Pro is not designed to be taken on the plane as carry-on. It’s built as an all-in-one workstation that holds all your gear and a fully rigged camera, which takes it beyond standard cabin size limits. If you need a cabin-friendly option, our Ultra Shell and Cine Pro Carry-On Roller Bags are sized for overhead storage.

Will my laptop fit?

Yes, up to a 17" laptop. It sits in a dedicated front compartment wrapped in soft, scratchproof nylex padding. Two clear mono-mesh zip pockets alongside it keep media and batteries easy to see and reach.

How does the bag open?

The main compartment unzips fully flat, like a suitcase. Attachable webbing door straps hold the panel at 90° or 180°, so your gear stays put while you work.

Can the roller be converted into a backpack?

Yes. The bag rolls on 2 heavy-duty wheels with a retractable handle, and converts to backpack with the heavily cushioned straps. The straps are fully removable and stow away when you don’t need them.

Is the bag waterproof?

The bag is water-resistant. The 420D ripstop nylon handles rain and splashes well, but it isn’t fully waterproof, as water can still find its way in through the zippers and seams. We don’t recommend leaving it submerged or in heavy downpours for extended periods.

Can I carry a tripod, light stand or boom pole?

Yes. Reinforced side webbing loops and a deep drop pocket lock down heavy-duty cinema tripods, light stands and boom poles. When you’re not carrying a tripod, the same pocket fits a water bottle.
